OUR APPROACH
Across cultures, generations and communities, people express love through food, gathering around the table to share stories, traditions and time together. While every cuisine has its own dialect shaped by history and culture, the foundations are often similar. Around the world, we all grill meats, mill grains, till vegetables and prepare meals meant to be shared with others.
Medley Kitchen is inspired by those connections between cuisines and people. Our menu explores how cultures use many of the same ingredients and techniques to create entirely different flavor experiences. Although the details may change, from the spices, sauces or methods being used, the spirit behind the meal remains universal. Through food, we are reminded how much we truly have in common.
What makes our experience different is the communal nature of it all. We believe dining should feel energetic and shared – the kind of atmosphere where plates move across the table, strangers become friends and meals stretch longer because nobody wants the moment to end. The menu is designed to encourage discovery together, blending approachable flavors with global influence in a way that feels both familiar and unexpected.

Community also plays an important role in our story. Our dishes will draw inspiration from other local restaurants that help shape the character of our city. We are proud to recognize and celebrate those businesses throughout the experience, encouraging guests to discover and support the people and places that make our community unique.

Derek Bush
Owner and Operator
Derek Bush leads the group behind the restaurant concept, bringing more than 20 years of hospitality experience, including leadership roles with Cameron Mitchell Restaurants and The Ohio State University’s Hospitality Management program.
Medley Kitchen is an extension of Bush’s Culinary Collectives brand, which celebrates the universal love language of food. Rooted in a passion for connecting people through culture and cuisine, the brand aims to bring the warmth of a neighborhood favorite where food brings flavors, and people, together.
